Why is the popularityof yoga so high?
My first yoga class was not the best way to begin a yogapractice.
With my love in martial arts, I figured it could help me
improve my kicks and flexibility. Isn't yoga essentially a communal stretch? So
I didn't see anything wrong with performing a hard workout at the gym below
first.
I arrived at class fully warmed up after a 45-minute
workout, eager to unwind.
This was an efficient method of teaching me how physically
and mentally difficult yoga can be. It demanded significantly more energy and
focus than I had imagined. There were things I couldn't do for the first time
in a long time.
With the emphasis on breathing and movement, it was alsolot more exciting, entertaining, and intriguing than I had anticipated.
Since then, I've avoided working out before yoga to avoid
further weariness and face-first crashes. However, I frequently think back on
what I learnt in those early lessons and how I felt afterwards.
